From Birth Trauma and Hashimoto's to Med-Free and Thriving

Delivered using forceps and vacuum extraction, the birth trauma Becca endured led to a rocky start for her. She was constipated as a baby and starting in 4th grade, she began to have migraines. By high school, her migraines were so intense that she would have to miss 2-3 days at a time. Her family sought traditional help where lots of testing showed everything was "normal." Becca wasn't comfortable taking the med a neurologist suggested, and that doctor said maybe she would "grow out of it."

At 14, Becca was diagnosed with Hashimoto's, an autoimmune condition of the thyroid, and told she would be on medication for the rest of her life. But she believed in her body's ability to heal and she started to pursue that!

Becca focused on clean eating, eliminating toxins, and she saw improvements in her Hashimoto's! But she still knew something was missing. With her pregnancies with Owen and Carolyn, she had to increase her medication; her doctors told her she would always have to increase in pregnancy, because pregnancy "destroys your thyroid." This still didn't sit well with Becca, so she continued seeking answers.

After Carolyn was born, Becca started care at TFC.
