Birth Trauma to Meeting Milestones: Liam's Miracle Story

Sweet Liam had a rough start to life outside the womb. His mom faced a high-stress pregnancy with a large hematoma and placenta accreta, and at just 30+6 weeks, she was rushed for an emergency C-section due to uterine rupture. CPR and 9 units of blood were needed, and Liam spent 8 weeks in the NICU.

The stress of pregnancy and birth weighed heavily on his tiny nervous system. Liam struggled with feeding, was extremely colicky, rigid, and stiff, and suffered from severe reflux. His choking episodes were so intense they could stop him from breathing. Medications helped only a little, and his mom knew there had to be more.

After starting care at TFC, things began to shift. Liam’s feeding became easier, choking episodes decreased, and he was calmer, more relaxed, and growing like a weed. His fists unclenched, and his body finally had a chance to thrive.
